The town of Zaton is an extremely popular tourist destination known for its beautiful beaches. It is only about 15 km from the city of Zadar. Right next to Zaton is the historic town of Nin, known for its many interesting historical and cultural monuments dating back to the prehistoric era. For example, you can see the remains of the Roman forum there, and in Nin, the remains of medieval and ancient Croatian war and merchant ships, condors, were also found. In Nin, there is also the longest sandy beach in Croatia, i.e. the Queen's beach. In the Nin lagoon, there is also a beach with healing peloid mud, the beneficial properties of which were known even in Roman times.
